Tool Service Technician
About the role
As a Tool Service Technician (Service Tech I), you'll use your skills to perform manual and maintenance tasks as well as minor repairs of specialty tools in a safe and professional manner. Every day, you can improve and challenge yourself, and if you have the desire and ambition, you'll have the potential to work towards higher level Tech roles in our Service Department.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment before and after use
- Report machine condition to Management
- Load and unload equipment while complying with DOT regulations for height, width and weight
- Clean all tools and prepare new equipment for rent or sale
- Demonstrate tools for customers
- Perform minor repairs of rental equipment and tools including electrical, calibration, certification, and tagging of tools for rental ready status
- Provide assistance to higher level technicians as needed
- Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
- Other duties assigned as needed
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Basic understanding of electrical testing equipment
- Good mechanical aptitude including basic knowledge of tools
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
