Tool Repair and Warehouse Assistant

Job Summary

Responsible for small engine and tool repair. May perform general warehouse tasks including furnishing tools, materials and supplies to other workers; loading and unloading materials, cleaning work and dock area and truck yard. Cleans, maintains, and repairs tools, parts, and machinery.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• 1-3 years of experience in small engine repair

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in repairing gas chain saws, gas drills, electric power tools, air tools, small hydraulic pumps and small hydraulic tools preferred
• Basic computer skills preferred

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Furnishes tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to other workers
• Cleans, maintains or repairs machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects by using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment
• Transfers equipment, tools, parts, and other objects to and from workstations and other areas
• Assembles and disassembles machinery, equipment, components, and other parts
• Installs or replaces machinery, equipment, and new or replacement parts and instruments
• Adjusts and connects or disconnects wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts
• Applies protective materials to equipment, components, and parts to prevent defects and corrosion
• Positions vehicles, machinery, equipment, physical structures, and other objects, for assembly or installation
• Examines and tests machinery, equipment, components, and parts for defects and to ensure proper functioning
• Buils or erects and maintains physical structures
• Safely drive various vehicles
• Obtain, as necessary, all moving permits, licenses, titles, safety checks, etc. as required by corporate policy, state or federal regulations or client requirements
