Tool Polisher

About the role

A Tool Polisher supports Velosity CMD's manufacturing facility in Forest Lake, MN. The typical pay range for this role is $25.43-$38.15 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Polish mold components and parts as needed.
• Work cooperatively with all employees.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with molds.
• Schedule and manage work in other departments as required.
• Operate necessary equipment safely.
• Perform other assignments as required.

Requirements

• Preferred 2 years technical or trade school with an emphasis on tool making or equivalent experience.
• Valid identification and ability to work legally in the United States.
• 2 years mold making in a tool shop environment.
• Technical mathematical skills.
• The ability to multitask.
• Communicate with other departments and customers professionally.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficient knowledge of all processes within the shop.
• An understanding of blue print reading.
• An ability to make decisions on in-process tolerancing.
• Capable of performing daily tasks safely.
• To work independently with limited supervision.
• To work comfortably in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Preferred 2 years mold making in a tool shop environment.
• Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
• Skills: Technical mathematical skills; the ability to multitask; work on several projects at the same time without losing the ability to complete them on time and within customer specifications; communicate with other departments and customers in a professional and respectful manner; basic computer skills.
• Knowledge: Proficient knowledge of all processes within the shop; understanding of blue print reading; an understanding of component and/or mold manufacturing and ability to make decisions on in process tolerancing.
• Abilities: Capable of performing daily tasks safely; to work independently with limited supervision; to work comfortably in a team environment.

This role is on a 1st shift schedule, Monday - Friday, 7am - 3pm.
