Tool Die Polisher

About the role

The Tool & Die Polisher is responsible for polishing, grinding, and finishing metal tools, dies, molds, and machine components to ensure smooth surfaces, accurate dimensions, and proper functionality.

Responsibilities

• Polish steel dies and molds to precise surface finishes
• Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, polishing stones, diamond compounds, abrasive papers, and buffing equipment
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Work with different tool steels and surface finishes
• Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish according to specifications
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and surface finish gauges

Requirements

• Ability to polish steel dies and molds to precise surface finishes
• Experience using hand tools, pneumatic tools, polishing stones, diamond compounds, abrasive papers, and buffing equipment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Knowledge of different tool steels and surface finishes
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and surface finish gauges
