Tool Maker - The Toro Company

Pay: $21-$24.50 hourly based on skillset

Schedule

• Tuesday through Saturday from 7:00am to 3:30pm
• Training shift: Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm (typically takes a few months before moving to standard shift)

Responsibilities

• Build a variety of tools, engineering changes, molds, templates, fixtures, and jigs
• Set up, adjust, and operate all types of machine shop equipment
• Select and lay out materials
• Draw sketches and calculate dimensions as required
• Repair or modify existing tools
• Calculate shrink rate dimensions for different plastics
• Work as a team player on miniature, close-tolerance parts and fixtures with minimum supervision
• Train mold technicians to increase their knowledge and skills in troubleshooting and mold repair techniques

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Demonstrate acceptable layout and TIG welding skills and quality
• Able to communicate effectively over the phone and with small groups of people
• Demonstrate basic computer skills
• Have appropriate reading, clerical, and basic mathematical skills

Qualifications

• 1+ years of tool & die manufacturing experience
• Related vocational certificate or associate degree
• CNC programming with milling and EDM machine experience
• Able to read blueprints and reverse design parts and pieces from molds and equipment
