Tool Maker

About the role

Manufactures tooling and gauging from drawings to support production of parts on Davenport multi-spindle screw machines. Training is provided to further knowledge of tool making specific to company policies and standards as well as other areas of the business.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and inspect tooling and gauging
• Read and translate tool and gauge prints
• Setup and operate machine tools including lathe, grinder, mill, etc. to manufacture tools and gauges to specifications provided by engineering personnel
• Use a variety of gauging methods including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and comparators
• Confer with engineering and production teams to solve performance/operational issues and improve operational efficiency

Requirements

• 5 years of related tool making experience
• Ability to work collaboratively to solve problems
• Adherence to safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Adherence to employee rules, policies, and procedures
