What You'll Be Doing

Precision Tooling & Mold Assembly
Assemble, fit, and finish molds, dies, tools, gauges, and related tooling
Perform mold maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting
Work directly from 2D and 3D CAD drawings and engineering prints
Perform final fitting, refinement, and precision adjustments to tooling components
Maintain micron-level tolerances and high-quality workmanship standards
Machining & Tool Room Operations
Operate manual machining equipment including: Bridgeport Mills, Surface Grinders, Tool Grinders, Drill Presses, Cut-Off Saws
Operate CNC mills and lathes
Perform drilling, tapping, chamfering, deburring, and plate straightening
Support ongoing tool room and machine shop operations
Inspection & Quality
Operate CMM equipment for dimensional verification
Utilize precision measuring equipment including: Micrometers, Calipers, Shadowgraphs, Other inspection instruments
Perform and document in-process inspections
Verify tooling meets engineering and quality specifications

Qualifications

Required

Technical degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent toolmaking experience
Experience working in a machine shop, mold shop, or precision manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of machining practices and precision measurement
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Hands-on experience with mold building, toolmaking, manual machining equipment, CNC equipment, and precision inspection tools

Preferred

Mold building, mold repair, or mold maintenance experience
CNC machining experience
CMM experience
Familiarity with Mastercam
Experience working with tight-tolerance precision components
