Local manufacturer seeking a skilled Tool Maker for a temporary-to-hire position.
Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of build and final assembly of progressive dies and fixtures.
- Work in all aspects of tool and die manufacturing with little to no supervision.
- Operate all tool room equipment including CNC machines.
- Troubleshoot most tooling issues or problems.
- Work in close tolerances of +/-.0002.
- May be required to supervise subordinate-level machinists.
- Identify opportunities to improve products or reduce costs.
Requirements
- High School Math and English equivalent.
- Three (3) or more years in a Machining or similar environment.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to use measuring devices like micrometers and verniers.
- Dedicated to the work with good attention to detail.
- Good time management skills.
Pay
$20 - $27/hr.
Schedule
1st or 2nd shift.
