Tool & Die Technician-Level 3 (1st shift)
About the role
As a Tool & Die Technician-Level 3 here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for fabricating, modifying, and repairing precision tools, dies, and fixtures used in manufacturing processes. You will apply your technical expertise to ensure that tooling meets quality standards and production requirements, playing a critical role in supporting efficient and accurate manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, maintain, and repair tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures to precise specifications using various machine shop equipment and hand tools.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure tooling meets design and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot tooling issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Experience in tool and die making or precision machining within a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace.
- Strong knowledge of machine shop equipment such as lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM machines to fabricate and repair tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications accurately.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and inspection tools to ensure tooling quality and compliance.
- Associate’s Degree or Technical Certification in Tool & Die Making, Machining, or related field preferred.
- Experience working in aerospace manufacturing or related high-precision industries.
- Familiarity with CNC programming and operation is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in a machine shop setting.
