About the role

Vishay Dale Electronics – Columbus, NE is seeking a Die Technician. This position operates Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm with overtime available as needed. The role involves performing machining and die work to enhance and enable production processes at one of the world’s largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology, employing around 600 people in Columbus, NE.

Responsibilities

• Operates all types of machine tool equipment such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines, and surface grinders to produce tooling fixtures.
• Troubleshoots and changes out tooling in precision stamping dies as needed.
• Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances.
• Makes adjustments or repairs to equipment as necessary.
• Identifies to Supervisor or Lead-person any specification, equipment, or material shortcomings.
• Performs other various tasks as directed by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• Technical Certification and/or 1 to 3 years of machinist experience.
• Ability to read, write, and perform arithmetic calculations.
• Prior production experience is desirable.
