Machinist - 1st shift

Raytheon · San Diego, CA · 2 wk ago
On-siteManufacturing$34–$40/hrFull-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? The posting includes description. We need headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections if posting has real specific content. We must not repeat job title. Must not include Job ID etc. Remove boilerplate like EEO, legal, application instructions, etc. We need to preserve all substantive info. Let's parse content: - Date posted, country, location, position role type: Onsite, US citizenship required, security clearance none. - At Raytheon ... description of mission. - Our San Diego Manufacturing Depot provides sustainment support... (description of work). This is about the role. - As a team member... Machinist responsibilities: managing and executing detailed machined parts, using horizontal and vertical mills, lathes, other equipment. Works on next-gen products. - This fast-paced factory... description. - The San Diego Depot Factory's reputation... small highly skilled team. - This position follows a 9/80 work schedule. - What You Will Do: list of duties (advanced machining operations, design and fabricate custom tooling, collaborate with design engineers, evaluate and verify part quality, contribute to development of machining techniques, review mechanical setup and execute production cycles on various machines, program and operate CNC equipment, design/fabricate/modify custom tools, control and optimize machine settings, operate and inspect machinery, must read blueprints, must lift 28 lbs. This is a 1st shift, onsite position.) - Qualifications You Must Have: HS diploma or equivalent with min 6 years relevant experience, experience with CNC programming, experience performing manual inspections using classic manual inspection gages, experience with GD&T and engineering drawings. - Qualifications We Prefer: list many preferences. - What We Offer: values, relocation assistance not provided, Learn More & Apply Now! (but we remove application instructions). Then role type definition (Onsite) maybe not needed. Salary range: $34-$40/hour. Benefits list: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, holidays. Also mention short-term/long-term incentive compensation programs. - Also mention that specific benefits depend on business unit and collective bargaining. - Also mention that hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs. - Also mention that this role is US-based, if resides in US territory appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply. - Also mention application window closing approx 40 days. - Also mention EEO etc (remove). We need to create sections: - About the role: could include mission description, description of depot, team, 9/80 schedule, 1st shift onsite. - Responsibilities: the "What You Will Do" list. - Requirements: maybe the citizenship requirement, security clearance none, ability to lift 28 lbs, read blueprints, etc. Also maybe the "Qualifications You Must Have" could be considered Requirements? But we have separate Qualifications section. The instructions: Use headings for About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. So we need to map content accordingly. We have: - About the role: description of Raytheon, mission, depot, team, schedule, shift. - Responsibilities: the bullet list under "What You Will Do". - Requirements: citizenship requirement, security clearance none, ability to lift 28 lbs, read blueprints, maybe also the minimum experience? But that's qualifications. However "Requirements" could be things like citizenship, security clearance, physical ability, shift, etc. We'll include: U.S. citizenship required, security clearance not required, ability to lift 28 lbs, ability to read blueprints, 1st shift onsite, 9/80 work schedule. - Qualifications: the "Qualifications You Must Have" and "Qualifications We Prefer". Could combine into one Qualifications section with subheadings? But we only allowed headings as listed; we can't add extra headings. So we need to put all qualifications under

Qualifications

and then list items (maybe separate Must Have and Preferred as sub-lists). That's okay. - Skills: maybe we can extract skills from preferences: CNC programming, GD&T, welding, Virtual Gibbs, ProE, Renishaw probes, etc. But we already have qualifications covering many. The instruction says we can have Skills section if posting has real specific content for it. We could put specific technical skills there. However we might avoid duplication. But we need to preserve all substantive info; we can include them under Qualifications or Skills. Since we have a Qualifications section already, we could put the "Must Have" and "Preferred" there, and maybe Skills could be empty -> we should not include empty section. So we omit Skills if no distinct content. - Benefits: list of benefits. - Pay: salary range $34-$40/hour. - Schedule: 9/80 work schedule, 1st shift. But schedule already mentioned in About the role; but we can still include Schedule section with specifics. We must not repeat info unnecessarily? The instruction: "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." So we could combine schedule into About the role or Qualifications? But we have a Schedule heading allowed; we could include it if there is real specific content. The posting says: "This position follows a 9/80 work schedule." and "This is a 1st shift, onsite position." So we have schedule info. We'll include Schedule section. We must not include boilerplate like EEO, legal, application instructions, privacy policy, etc. We need to output only HTML fragment, no /, no markdown fences. Let's craft:

About the role

At Raytheon, the foundation of everything we do is rooted in our values and a higher calling – to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today’s mission and stay ahead of tomorrow’s threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Our San Diego Manufacturing Depot provides sustainment support for legacy Raytheon magnetics products used in Aegis and Patriot Radar systems. We build and repair electrical transformers, power supplies, and magnetic assemblies utilizing expertise in coil winding, electrical assembly, soldering, encapsulation, welding/machining, and electrical testing. As a team member of the San Diego Depot Factory, a Machinist is responsible for managing and executing detailed, machined parts. We utilize horizontal and vertical mills, lathes, and other equipment in our shop. Our team often works on next-generation products that have the potential to be differentiators for our customers. This fast-paced factory is not a classic production machine shop as the work we do is anything but typical. A successful candidate will be working on projects varying from fabricating vital components for a critical production line, repair work to get essential equipment operational, or collaborating with design engineers to create a next-generation prototype. This high-speed environment requires attention to detail, ability to work with a highly skilled and diverse team, and opportunity to grow your skillset by not doing the same thing day after day. The San Diego Depot Factory's reputation is built on our ability to execute challenging projects to meet customer schedules. The successful candidate will join a small, highly skilled team directly supporting the warfighter mission. This position follows a 9/80 work schedule and is a 1st shift, onsite role.
