Tool & Die Maker

About the role

MAT Industries, Inc. is seeking a Tool & Die Maker to join our growing manufacturing team. This position performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and modifications to stamping and forming equipment at our Jackson, TN facility, reporting to the Tool Room Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs on both progressive and single stroke metal stamping dies
• Assist in troubleshooting issues with stamping and forming equipment including stamping dies, presses, benders, etc.
• Provide feedback on adjustments needed to die PMs to reduce downtime and improve part quality
• Perform general machine shop work using conventional mills, lathes, surface grinders, etc.
• Assist in development of new stamping dies and modifications to existing dies to extend life and improve part quality
• Submit purchase requisitions for parts and components needed for die repair and maintenance
• Identify critical parts and make recommendations on spare components to inventory

• Ability to meet attendance standards (full-time employees required to work a 40-hour week; additional hours may be necessary to meet deadlines)

Pay & Schedule

• $1,000.00 sign-on bonus
• Monday–Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm shift
