Tool Crib Operator & Maintenance Support

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize tool crib inventory, ensuring tools and supplies are properly stored, tracked, and readily available
• Issue and receive tools, parts, and equipment to employees and departments
• Monitor inventory levels and order parts, tools, and supplies as needed
• Communicate with vendors regarding parts availability, pricing, and delivery timelines
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, equipment, and transactions
• Aid maintenance team with light maintenance tasks and repairs as needed
• Repair and maintain air tools, hoses, and MIG welding leads
• Cookout waste pickup and maintain required environmental documentation
• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve organization and efficiency within the tool crib
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and proper handling of tools and equipment
• Operate forklift or other material handling equipment as needed
• Provide timely and professional support to internal customers (production, maintenance, etc.)
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in a tool crib, maintenance, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks
• Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and ordering
• Forklift experience or ability to become certified
