This onsite role requires an active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance on day one; U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

About the role

The Engineering Business Analyst supports Engineering Product Team Leads, Control Account Managers, and Program leads in monthly Earned Value Management (EVM) inputs, reporting, analysis, Budget Change Requests (BCRs), EAC and LRE inputs, and meaningful analysis to drive predictable cost and schedule results. The role partners with engineering and program leads for EVMS process inputs, EAC/LRE development, monthly variance reporting, and weekly cost and labor-run analysis, using APEX/SAP EV, IMS, and PMX tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support quarterly Estimates at Complete (EACs) and monthly Latest Revised Estimates (LRE) including cost estimates, reasonableness analysis, and risk/opportunity assessment at the Program/Product/Mission area level.
  • Perform detailed Earned Value and financial analysis against budget baseline, schedule, and EAC positions.
  • Prepare forecasts, monitor actual costs, and document variances to plans and forecasts.
  • Drive cost control and schedule adherence through management reporting tools.

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Experience using SAP, APEX, or similar systems.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools, especially Excel.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date; U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), or other Government Procurement regulations as they pertain to Bid/Cost proposals.
  • Knowledge in leading and managing processes, projects, and tactics within a work area.
  • Understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers.

Pay

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD. The range reflects all experience levels; RTX considers role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills when extending an offer.
