About the role

The Dev Ops Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing AWS Cloud-based hosting solutions, managing backups and recovery, and optimizing cloud environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement AWS Cloud-based hosting solutions
  • Manage backups and recovery, including failover zones
  • Optimize cloud environments for cost efficiency and performance
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies
  • Collaborate with application development teams throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Ensure compliance with AWS best practices in billing and accounting
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience developing tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity
  • Experience in Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, and Python or Golang
  • Experience with Jenkins, GitLab runners, GitHub actions, Terraform, Terragrunt, and Pulumi
  • Experience with commercial cloud providers, specifically AWS
  • Experience with continuous automation across multiple technical stacks
  • Experience with continuous deployment tools built on Kubernetes
  • Experience triaging and resolving issues related to open-source and commercial tools in public cloud environments
  • Experience bringing other organizations on board with DevOps, championing the adoption of DevOps processes, tools, and roles

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in CS or Computer Engineering
  • Master's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or a related field preferred

Skills

  • Python programming
  • Configuration/management tools such as Gitlab
  • Containerization tools such as Docker
  • Deep expertise with microservices / container architectures
  • Orchestration and automation

Benefits

Pay

Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
