Toddler Teacher's Assistant

About the role

We are currently seeking a full-time childcare professional to work with children ages 13 months to 3 years for our fall program starting the end of August 2026. Applicant must have flexibility in hours available to work and have some experience working with young children. Candidate must be able to meet the needs of the children in the classroom, which includes diapering, helping at mealtimes, engaging in play, skill and relationship building and maintaining a clean environment. Candidate must work with lead teacher to include the Infant and Toddler Curriculum into the daily tasks. NH childcare licensing rules must be practiced. This is a full-time position working between 32–40 hours per week, paid holidays, sick time and vacation time. Position reports to Infant/Toddler Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage with children ages 13 months to 2 years
• Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling
• Help provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment
• Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to childcare center
• Follow all center policies and state regulations
• Maintain 18 hours of Professional Development yearly
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Communicate appropriately with families and team members

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of professional child care experience
• ECE credits preferred with a minimum of 3 credits in Child Growth and Development
• High energy
• Ability to work well with others
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Must clear full background check
