About the role
Toddler Lead Teachers are responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for toddlers aged 12-36 months. They lead daily activities that promote physical, cognitive, and social development. The role involves planning engaging activities, observing children’s progress, and providing individualized care.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement age-appropriate daily lesson plans focusing on physical, cognitive, and social development.
- Observe and document children’s growth and development, adjusting plans accordingly.
- Provide individualized care and attention to each child in the classroom.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure consistent programming and support for all children.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- At least one year of experience working with young children.
- Valid CPR and first aid certifications.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with child safety and health practices.
Skills
- Excellent observational and assessment skills.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
