About the role

The Goddard School is seeking a Toddler Lead Teacher to join their 5-star school located at 1528 Providence Road S, Waxhaw, North Carolina. Established in 2011, the school cares for 150 children aged from six weeks to six years old.

The school is dedicated to creating a safe, dynamic, and loving environment where children can develop into joyful, confident learners. Teachers collaborate with parents to prepare children for school and life.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classroom and co-lead all classroom activities throughout the course of the day
• Observe children’s interests and work with co-teachers to develop creative ideas for implementing the Wonder of Learning curriculum
• Develop weekly lesson plans alongside our Curriculum Coordinator
• Communicate with parents daily, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through various means
• Engage with other childcare professionals and continue to grow in your profession

Requirements

• Affiliation with an Associate/Bachelor in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Child Development Associate (CDA) certification preferred
• At least 1 year of teaching experience in a classroom setting
• At least 1 year of experience working with children aged 1 to 2.5 years
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with handling children
• Highly motivated and able to take direction well
• Commitment to following Goddard and state licensing guidelines
