Toddler Lead Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Teacher for one of our Toddler classrooms. This position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience, a good understanding of classroom management, and a passion for working with children.

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans based on Goddard Developmental Guidelines and monthly themes.
• Ensure compliance with Goddard's Quality Assurance standards.
• Write and implement lesson plans based on Goddard Developmental Guidelines and monthly themes.
• Create a positive learning environment where children develop a lifelong love of learning.
• Meet the individual needs of the children.
• Communicate with parents about their child's progress.
• Participate in staff and training meetings.
• Design an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental levels of the children in the classroom.
• Interact with children to support play, exploration, and learning.
• Present expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level.
• Plan and implement activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.
• Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff.
• Build teamwork and commit to continuing education.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool.
• Management experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• 18 semester hours of completed coursework, including 12 hours of completed coursework related to young children birth to age 8.
• An Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• 1 year of experience (1560 clock hours) in a licensed childcare center or preschool.
• 1 year of management experience.
• A current CDA or Early Childhood Teaching Credential, and an additional 12 semester hours or continuing education units in courses related to young children birth to age 8.
• 3120 clock hours of experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool.
• 1 year of management experience.

Pay and Schedule

Starting pay: $18.00 per hour. $500 sign-on bonus for vaccinated teachers.

Schedule

Available 7:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
