What You'll Do

• Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement lesson plans that promote the social-emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of the children
• Implement engaging, age-appropriate activities and work closely with colleagues to achieve a cohesive learning environment
• Provide for the basic needs of the children
• Resolve conflicts between children in a fair and constructive manner
• Keep parents informed of their child's progress through regular written reports and daily updates
• Model positive behaviors and attitudes
• Foster open communication between staff and parents
• Evaluate and enhance the physical environment of the classroom to meet the evolving needs of the children
• Ensure that the center's philosophies and policies are consistently implemented
• Attend all staff meetings, professional development sessions, and center events
• Maintain the required staff-to-child ratio at all times

Requirements

• CDA or Associates Degree in ECE or a related field
• A clear criminal record
• Prior experience working with young children, preferably in a similar setting
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• A warm and approachable demeanor
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• A genuine passion for early childhood development

• First aid certification per CT requirements
• CPR certification per CT requirements
• Medication certification per CT requirements
