Responsibilities

• Operates a cash register efficiently and performs checkout procedures at or above expected performance standards, including accurate handling/counting of cash, debit cards, credit cards, coupons, and checks.
• Follows all check-out and cash handling procedures and policies.
• Keeps the Tobacco section neat and presentable, including stocking snacks and drinks, sweeping, cleaning counters, and changing trash. May include cleaning outside as needed.
• Provides excellent customer service.
• Checks the identification of all customers attempting to purchase tobacco products. Customers must be 21 years of age or older.

Requirements

• Customer service orientation and willingness to deal with people daily.
• Ability to count money and make accurate change.
• Ability to work assigned shifts and arrive to work on time.
• Ability to clean and straighten product when no customers need assisting.
• Flexibility in schedules – We are a seven-day-a-week operation with weekend and evening hours.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, frequently bend, lift, squat, lean, and reach.
• Must successfully complete a background check. A drug test is required for Berea #2, Campbellsville, Lebanon, KY, Circleville, and Southland locations.
