TN - Malone's/Harry's Chattanooga - Host/Hostess

In addition to a vast selection of steak, enjoy freshly made salads, fresh fish and seafood selections, sandwiches, house favorites, and seasonal chef features. As a Malone’s Host, your job is to greet, seat, and present clean menus to guests in a friendly, professional, and quick manner. You will also be managing all incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate team member for help. You will use the wait sheet, reservation list, and Open Table to control the flow and seating in different sections of the restaurant to ensure prompt service to our guests. You are to maintain the wait list and quote waits to guests accurately.

Responsibilities

• Observe tables and keep track of which ones are clean, dirty, and occupied
• Take guest information and quote wait times when tables are not immediately available
• Clean, organize, and stock menus at the host stand
• Answer phone calls concerning the menu and restaurant
• Greet every guest that enters the restaurant
• Seat guests
• Thank every guest as they leave the restaurant
• Keep the kitchen informed of traffic flow into the restaurant
• Maintain the wait list and quote waits to guests accurately
• Use the wait sheet, reservation list, and Open Table to control flow and seating

Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods (up to 8 hours)
• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive motions required
• Comfortable navigating a fast-paced, high-traffic environment
• Clear verbal communication with team members and guests
