About the role

Cottage Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to join our team. This position is permanent and full-time.

Responsibilities

• Teach a range of subjects to students in grades K-8, adhering to the curriculum and educational standards.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with educational goals and objectives.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement interdisciplinary projects and activities.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth and development.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices.
• Support students with individualized learning needs through differentiated instruction.
• Engage in ongoing communication with parents/guardians to support student success.

Requirements

• Valid California teaching credential.
• At least three years of successful teaching experience.
• Experience working with students in grades K-8.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and community partners.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education or related field.
• Montessori certification preferred.

Skills

• Effective classroom management skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
• Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
