About the role
Provides support services to students with autism spectrum disorder within the Lincoln ES program.
Responsibilities
- Supports students in developing social skills and communication strategies.
- Participates in team meetings to discuss student progress and develop intervention plans.
- Assists in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintains accurate records and documentation of student progress and behavior.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in special education or related field.
- Valid Nevada teaching license or ability to obtain one within six months.
- Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of autism spectrum disorder and its educational implications.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Proficiency in using assistive technology and software tools.
