About the role

Provides support services to students with autism spectrum disorder within the Lincoln Elementary School program.

Responsibilities

  • Supports students in developing social skills and communication strategies.
  • Participates in team meetings to discuss student progress and develop individualized education plans.
  • Assists with implementing behavior management techniques and strategies.
  • Maintains accurate records and documentation of student progress and interactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid Nevada teaching license or ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of autism spectrum disorder and its educational implications.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Proficiency in using technology tools for special education.
