TITLE I - SPECIALIZED PROGRAMS TEACHER ASSISTANT III - HERRON, FAYE ES.

This is a 9-month position with 7 hours per day, supporting a student in an educational setting.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent (GED, foreign equivalency, etc.).
• Minimum of 48 credits from an accredited college or university or a passing score on the Educational Testing Service (ETS) ParaPro assessment.
• Experience working with children.
• Current CPR/AED certificate from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or a similar organization. Certification must be maintained for the duration of the assignment and must include in-person, hands-on training (online courses are not accepted). A copy of the front and back of the certificate must be uploaded with the application.

Preferred Qualifications

• Signing abilities (for the hearing-impaired program).
• One year of experience working with special education children.

• College transcript(s) from an accredited institution, if applicable, or a copy of a passing score on the ETS ParaPro assessment.
• Current CPR/AED certificate (front and back).
• Specific documented evidence of training and experience to satisfy qualifications.
• Out-of-district applicants must disclose the three most recent years of work experience, including dates of unemployment, schooling, and volunteer work, under the “Experience and Credentials” section of the application.

Work Location: Herron, Fay Elementary School (North Las Vegas).
