About the Role
This position plans and implements an instructional program and provides related educational services for students in grades K-5. The role involves managing student behavior, assessing and evaluating student achievement, and modifying instructional activities as required. It also includes carrying out a variety of student monitoring and control activities.
Teachers covered by this specification serve as general education, elementary classroom teachers (K-5). Classes may be taught in a single, team, or departmental setting, and the teacher may work independently in a unique teaching specialty. Assignments may include reading or technology labs.
This position performs work under the general supervision of a principal or other designated administrator.
