About the role

This position plans and implements an instructional program and provides related educational services for students in grades K-5. This position manages student behavior, assesses and evaluates student achievement, and modifies instructional activities as required and carries out a variety of student monitoring and control activities.

Responsibilities

• Manages student behavior
• Affirms and evaluates student achievement
• Modifies instructional activities as needed
• Carries out a variety of student monitoring and control activities
• Serve as a general education, elementary classroom teacher (K-5)
• Classes taught may be single or team or departmental setting, but a teacher might work independently in a unique teaching specialty
• May be assigned to reading or technology labs

This position performs work under the general supervision of a principal and or other designated administrator.
