About the role
The Title I Interventionist under the direction of the Teacher and with guidance from the Instructional Coach, facilitates small group and one-on-one instruction with students needing assistance with reading or math. They are trained in research-based strategies and prescribed interventions.Responsibilities
- Facilitate small group and one-on-one instruction with students needing assistance with reading or math.
- Conduct weekly progress monitoring to ensure students are on track with reading and math at the associated grade level.
- Utilize research-based strategies and prescribed interventions.
Qualifications
- Highly Qualified Status (Two-year degree or higher, 60 college credits toward a degree, or a passing score on the MN approved ParaEducator exam.)
- Basic child development educational background or knowledge preferred.
- Willingness to work with and show respect for students.
- Ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated communication skills, patience, and flexibility.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to follow the teacher's plan and direction, and communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
