Title I Interventionist

About the role

The Title I Interventionist under the direction of the Teacher and with guidance from the Instructional Coach, facilitates small group and one-on-one instruction with students needing assistance with reading or math. They are trained in research-based strategies and prescribed interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate small group and one-on-one instruction with students needing assistance with reading or math.
  • Conduct weekly progress monitoring to ensure students are on track with reading and math at the associated grade level.
  • Utilize research-based strategies and prescribed interventions.

Qualifications

  • Highly Qualified Status (Two-year degree or higher, 60 college credits toward a degree, or a passing score on the MN approved ParaEducator exam.)
  • Basic child development educational background or knowledge preferred.
  • Willingness to work with and show respect for students.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, patience, and flexibility.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to follow the teacher's plan and direction, and communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
