About the role

Aldridge Pite, LLP is a multi-state law firm focused on leveraging technology to enhance client and business partnerships. The firm provides comprehensive legal services to various financial institutions and commercial clients.

Responsibilities

• Examine foreclosure title reports and abstracted documents for evaluation of effect on the chain of title and subsequent foreclosure action.
• Search public records to determine the legal condition of property titles and the requirements needed to cure defective titles.
• Summarize (abstract) recorded documents that affect the condition of property titles (e.g., mortgages, trust deeds, and contracts).
• Determine conditions required to obtain clear title through foreclosure, deed in lieu, or other conveyance.
• Examine mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, plat books, maps, contracts, and agreements to verify legal descriptions, ownership, restrictions, or compliance with requirements.
• Analyze encumbrances to title and prepare reports outlining encumbrances and actions required to clear title.
• Identify title issues or defects and interact with attorneys, clients, and others to resolve title issues.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of information in title searches and accompanying documentation.
• Analyze deeds, deeds of trust/mortgages, judgments, tax assessments, and other applicable instruments.
• Resolve problems involving missing, incomplete, inaccurate, or contradictory information in the title or accompanying documentation.
• Prepare title claims and complete title-related steps assigned to the firm within the client systems.
• Provide accurate and complete foreclosure report summaries to clients.

Requirements

• High School/GED required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 5+ years of title and foreclosure experience
• Prior experience with Phoenix, BKFS, and Tempo systems preferred
• Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office products
• Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload

Schedule

Remote work is offered for most positions, with flexible scheduling within reason.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
