About the Role
As a Title Clerk, you will primarily handle information regarding motor vehicle registration and process legal documents and other state-required documents. Title clerks must be organized and detail-oriented in handling files and maintaining documents.
Responsibilities
- Process the acquisition of titles from original owners
- Make lien payoffs
- Handle title transfers to the receiving dealership
- Ensure accurate and timely titling/registrations of vehicles
- Record and maintain new and used inventory on IDS Accounting System
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years' experience in title work
- Working knowledge/understanding of title requirements in every state of the U.S. is helpful
- Familiarity with DMV rules and requirements
- Knowledge of loan origination functions mandatory
- Knowledge of State Tax Codes
- Knowledge of Sales Tax for multiple states
- Microsoft Office experience preferred
- Detailed oriented and well organized
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- May lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistive devices
Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is $21.03-$25.24 hourly.
