About the role

Ignite Education Solutions is hiring a Title 1 Teacher for a non-public school district. The schedule is based on district needs and school calendars; when school is off, you’re off.

Pay

Pay starts at $25 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Classroom Management
  • Regular contact with students’ classroom teacher(s) to choose appropriate activities based on teacher input
  • Maintain open communication with homeroom teachers, parents, and Ignite Education Solutions
  • Provide Title I services in a pull-out setting only
  • Serve only students who have submitted a signed permission slip
• Lesson Preparation and Delivery
  • Refer to academic standards for the subject level assigned to each student
  • Use supplemental materials tailored to each child’s ability
  • Access students’ IEPs (or non-public equivalent) if needed and if requested by the cooperating district
  • Allocate up to 15 minutes of prep time for every full hour of instructional time; any non-instructional time beyond this is not billable
  • Direct scheduling questions to your Ignite supervisor
  • Deliver services via Zoom when necessary

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in early childhood/elementary education from an accredited college or university
• Certification in Elementary Education or Special Education
• Willingness to complete and pass required clearances and training (four clearances, mandated reporter training, physical, TB test) within approximately one week
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and stop for extended periods throughout an eight-hour day
