Tissue Recovery Tech (palliative, death care)

About the role

As a Tissue Recovery Technician, you will work on a team that recovers postmortem musculoskeletal and/or cardiovascular tissues using surgical techniques within a 3-hour radius of Memphis, TN. You will serve as the surgeon during the recovery process. Comprehensive training is provided to ensure your success.

Responsibilities

• Recover postmortem musculoskeletal and/or cardiovascular tissues using surgical techniques
• Travel to hospitals within a 3-hour radius of Memphis, TN, using a company vehicle

Schedule

Full-time position with on-call requirements: 24-hour shifts, 15–16 days per month, including some weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aseptic technique and human anatomy
• Experience as an EMT, autopsy technician, surgical technician, or in a funeral home setting

Pay

Salary range: $41,000–$53,000 per year, depending on experience, with eligibility for overtime pay.
