Timekeeper

About the Role

As a Timekeeper for PCL Solar Constructors USA Inc. in Katy, Texas, you will be the backbone of payroll accuracy, owning time tracking, reporting, and workforce insights that drive project success. PCL is a 100% employee‑owned construction firm that invests in both its projects and the careers of its people.

Responsibilities

• Input and balance timecards competently and accurately.
• Assist with new‑hire orientations, including reviewing received documentation that meets requirements.
• Set up new hires in PCL systems and send new‑hire packages to head office.
• File and organize all project payroll files.
• Ensure confidentiality of payroll information.
• Prepare and run daily, weekly, or monthly reports.
• Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders as required.
• Develop and maintain strong customer‑focused relationships with all stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Some co‑op experience; timekeeping or payroll experience is an asset.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and a high level of detail orientation to maintain and submit all necessary documentation and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information.
• Flexibility regarding schedule and the ability to mobilize to the site when required.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
• Basic skills using Microsoft Office Suite.
