About the role
This position involves auditing maintenance, repair, overhaul, and inspection information for life-limited and hard-time parts to ensure accurate tracking in the Maintenance Software Database (Ramco) and compliance with the Maintenance Time Limits Manual (MTLM).
Responsibilities
- Performs back-to-birth audits on life-limited component information (AirVault and Ramco), including engines, landing gear, APUs, thrust reversers, and batteries.
- Ensures components requiring overhaul are tracking the correct last done/next due values in accordance with the MTLM/MPD.
- Identifies and resolves tracking problems or errors through audits to ensure the safety of the operation of the aircraft.
- Audits fan blades for compliance with eddy current inspections required by AD2017-17-18, ensuring paperwork is correct and complete.
- Updates engine fan blade configuration after remapping/shuffling of blades.
- Audits engine logbook/records and landing gear records following the removal of an engine or landing gear for repair, ensuring all information is complete and correct.
- Audits logs upon the return of engines or landing gears from repair, ensuring replaced components are properly documented.
- Updates APU tracking information, including life-limited parts, per bi-weekly inspections.
- Installs all A/C piece parts and updates parameter values during the acquisition process.
- Communicates with repair providers to exchange or update information regarding components or work.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of related records auditing or other problem-solving relatable work experience.
- Ability to navigate between multiple systems and applications.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent in Aviation field (management, operations, maintenance, A&P).
- Experience in aircraft maintenance.
Reasoning/Problem Solving Ability
Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Able to interpret technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds up to 10% of the time.
Work Environment
Typically not exposed to extreme environmental conditions.
