About the role

Timberland is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the brand, customer service, and the outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a customer-first mindset by embodying selling behaviors with a deep understanding of the brand, customer, and product.
• Aware of and accountable to store and individual sales goals.
• Build strong relationships with customers to enhance customer loyalty.
• Provide exceptional service while educating customers on our product, brand purpose, and community service involvement.
• Maintain a positive attitude and flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the customer and the business.
• Ensure product availability and represent it in a compelling manner that aligns with visual guidelines, and maintain the store's appearance and readiness each day.
• Adhere to policies and procedures, standards, and practices, and comply with company directives regarding safety, security, and shrink avoidance.
• Model behavior that respects the backgrounds, experiences, and cultural differences of others, upholding the integrity and values of the VF Corporation and the brand.
• Promote an environment that encourages participation, creativity, and learning by sharing best practices and building on the ideas of others.

Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Previous retail or service-oriented experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work effectively in a team to achieve sales goals and business objectives.
• Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly motivated and able to deliver a high level of customer service in a retail setting.

Physical Requirements

• Operate office equipment and technology (e.g., computers, tablets, phones, copiers).
• Standing required for entire work shift.
• Bend, lift, open, and move product up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Use ladders for visual merchandising, light adjustments, and window banner placement.

Hiring Range

$16.92 - $23.76 USD per hour
