TILE - SORTING TECHNICIAN - C SHIFT

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment for Sorting, Cutting, Rectification, and Wrapper areas
• Ensures adherence to all safety protocols throughout the plant
• Follows the Quality Management System certified to ISO 9001:2008 for all sorting operations
• Performs necessary Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) audits and assists in delivering weekly safety training materials
• Ensures product specifications are followed throughout the Sorting Department
• Reviews BC and Pack-Stock audits with operations and audit departments
• Assists the Sorting Supervisor in coordinating operations of sorting, cutting, rectification, and wrapper areas
• Trains new hires on safety, quality policy, management systems, sorting equipment operations, and product knowledge
• Works with the maintenance team to develop and sustain operator basic care programs
• Fills in and provides relief for all sorting job functions
• Understands pallet and box LGV programs and assists the plant LGV coordinator with scheduling duties
• Performs other duties as needed
