Tile Sorting Technician - C Shift at Mohawk Industries.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment for Sorting, Cutting, Rectification and Wrapper areas.
• Ensures all safety protocols throughout the plant are adhered to.
• Fulfills roles within the Quality Management System, certified to ISO 9001:2008, for all sorting operations.
• Performs necessary Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) audits and assists in delivering weekly safety training materials.
• Ensures product specifications are followed throughout the Sorting Department.
• Reviews BC and Pack-Stock audits with the operations and audit departments.
• Assists the Sorting Supervisor in coordinating the operations of sorting, cutting, rectification, and wrapper areas.
• Trains new hires on safety, quality policy, management systems, and operations of all sorting equipment and product knowledge.
• Works with the maintenance team to develop and sustain operator basic care programs.
• Fills-in and relieves responsibilities for all sorting job functions.
• Understands pallet and box LGV programs and uses the system to assist the plant LGV coordinator with scheduling duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with safety protocols and quality management systems.
• Ability to read and understand product specifications and LGV programs.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
