TILE - RECTIFYING TECHNICIAN - C SHIFT (Dickson, Tennessee, United States, 37055)

About the role

Join Dal-Tile, the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States and a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries. As a Rectifying Technician, you will ensure tile is precisely sized and finished correctly to meet quality standards and proper installation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all safety protocols throughout the plant are adhered to and help maintain a safe and healthy working environment for the Additional Finishes department.
• Follow the Quality Management System, certified to ISO 9001, for all finishing operations.
• Perform necessary Lock/Tag/Test audits and assist in delivering weekly safety training materials.
• Ensure product specifications are followed throughout the Additional Finishes department.
• Review preventive maintenance (PM), lubrication (type of grease, oil, and chemical products).
• Assist the supervisor in coordinating the operations of the Additional Finishes department.
• Train all new hires on safety, quality policy and management systems, operations of finishing equipment, and product knowledge.
• Work with the maintenance team to develop and sustain operator basic care programs.
• Fill in and provide relief for all Additional Finishes job functions.
• Operate loader and unloader machines, change set-ups, and complete basic maintenance tasks.
• Assist in water treatment duties and application of chemical products.
• Complete other tasks as needed.

6 PM – 6 AM (2-2-3 schedule).
