TILE - SORTING OPERATOR - B SHIFT (Dickson, Tennessee, United States, 37055)

Inspection and Loading Duties

• Inspects tile for shade and visual defects.
• Discards defective tile into trash hoppers.
• Maintains efficient operation of automated palletizer.
• Performs minor adjustments to equipment as needed.
• Loads finished product by hand onto pallets for shipment.
• Wraps completed pallets and bands loads as required.
• Scans completed pallets into the auto-receiving system.

Equipment Monitoring and Reporting

• Maintains awareness of equipment or processes.
• Reports problems to supervisor.

Workplace Safety and Compliance

• Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
• Promotes and adheres to all safety and health policies and procedures of plant.
• Completes all required training, including ergonomic, safety, health and environmental.
• Identifies and adjusts workstation arrangement, work practices, and workflow to reduce risk factors.
• Reports issues to supervisor/manager when unable to control risk factor/s.
• Reports symptoms of injury/illness and concerns when first noted.
• Participates in incident investigation.
• Uses ergonomic equipment provided.
• Demonstrates safe work practices.
