Through-Hole Technician

Cardinal Staffing Services is immediately hiring for a Through-Hole Technician in Millbury, OH.

About the role

This role performs hands-on through-hole assembly, soldering, inspection, and related production tasks under established instructions and supervision. Supports prototype, development, and production work while helping maintain quality and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build and inspect through-hole assemblies to documented requirements.
• Follow established procedures, drawings, and manufacturing instructions accurately.
• Support rework, repair, and test activities as assigned.
• Maintain clean documentation and communicate issues promptly.
• Assemble and solder through-hole assemblies and subassemblies per work instructions and drawings.
• Perform basic inspection and test activities as assigned.
• Assist with rework or repair of product to return units to operational condition as directed.
• Operate hand tools, small power tools, and approved production equipment safely.
• Ensure own work meets quality standards before passing to the next operation.
• Report unresolved problems, documentation issues, and material concerns to the department lead.
• Complete travelers, time records, and required paperwork neatly and accurately.
• Provide support to co-workers and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or experience preferred.
• Ability or willingness to learn to read manufacturing drawings and bills of material.
• Experience using soldering irons, hand tools, and related assembly tools.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow defined procedures.
• Ability to move between workstations.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift or team lift up to 25 lbs.
• Prior through-hole assembly or electronics manufacturing experience (preferred).
• Experience with IPC-610 and J-STD-001 workmanship requirements (preferred).
• Basic test equipment familiarity (preferred).

Pay

$15 to $16/hr

Schedule

1st shift: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (flexible after 90 days)
