Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee staff on the sales floor, in production, and in receiving areas to help ensure daily goals are met.
- Assist with quality assurance, customer service issue resolution, and cross-department support as needed.
- Help train staff, monitor performance, and assist with employee evaluations and corrective feedback.
- Ensure work areas are safe, organized, and consistent with Salvation Army standards.
Education/Experience, Skills, Qualities, Requirements
- Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalency required; business coursework or degree preferred. Two or more years of retail, warehouse, or production experience required. Supervisory experience preferred.
- Skills: Leadership, mentoring, and team coordination skills; problem-solving, decision-making, and ability to work across production and sales functions.
- Qualities: Strong work ethic; flexible and service oriented; reliable, punctual, and safety-focused; ability to problem solve; professional and courteous demeanor with donors; supportive of The Salvation Army's mission; able to reflect and model the high standards of our organization.
- Requirements: Driving - This position may need to fill in for Driver in their absence. Must be minimally 21 years of age and possessing a valid in-state Driver's License. Background Check - Continued employment will be contingent upon a biennial (every two years) background check that is processed in accordance with The Salvation Army's policies. Physical - Ability to access and produce information from the POS, to operate telephone, to understand written information. Ability to maneuver, to remain in a stationary position, to grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead. Ability to lift 50-75 pounds, move large items, bend, reach, grasp, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions. Ability to stand for extended periods in a warehouse/production environment.
