ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide courteous, professional, and responsive customer service at all times.
- Support daily store operations, including opening and closing tasks as needed.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual standards.
- Receive donations and handle all items respectfully and appropriately.
- Sort, price, hang, tag, and stock merchandise according to established procedures.
- Maintain proper organization of merchandise by category, colorization, and size.
- Rag-out and restock merchandise as needed.
- Aid customers as needed throughout the day.
- Perform cashier duties, including operating the point-of-sale system and processing transactions.
- Follow all cash handling policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the Thrift Store Employee Handbook and all established policies.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience using a cash register or point-of-sale system and handling cash.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Basic math skills and ability to manage transactions.
- Dependable, punctual, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
