Thrift Store Associate
About the role
We have two departments at this location for which you could be considered. The Sales Floor involves ringing up customers, answering questions at checkout, and making every transaction feel easy. Helping customers discover items and creating a welcoming experience on the floor is also part of the role. Keeping your section organized, well-stocked, and visually appealing is crucial. Merchandising donated goods so every corner of the floor stays fresh and shoppable is another important task.
Responsibilities
- Credit card processing
- Customer service
- Inventory management
- Merchandising
- Sorting and inspecting incoming merchandise
- Organizing and tagging goods for the floor
- Maintaining the backroom to ensure the sales floor never runs dry
Requirements
- A positive attitude and a genuine teamwork mindset
- Being punctual and ready to support your team
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn on the job
- Comfortable on your feet and able to handle physical tasks like lifting and organizing
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in retail or customer service preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
