About the role

The Retail Store Associate position at CVS Health provides an opportunity to excel in a customer-focused role, positively impacting the lives of others. You'll work independently and as part of a team, providing differentiated customer service, managing cash transactions, and supporting various departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating needs, demonstrating compassion, and resolving potential service issues.
• Focus on the customer by greeting warmly, maintaining eye contact, and offering help locating items.
• Accurately perform cashier duties, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions with precision.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, and updating pricing information.
• Support opening and closing store activities, when needed.
• Offer customer support to all departments, ensuring they are fully stocked and operational.
• Assist pharmacy personnel as needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy.
• Embrace and advocate for new CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age
• Remaining upright on the feet for sustained periods
• Lifting and exerting up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and negligible force regularly
• Close visual acuity for activities such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visual inspection involving small parts/details

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred but not required

Skills

Customer service skills, attention to detail, ability to handle cash transactions, and teamwork are essential.

Pay

The typical pay range for this role is $15.00 - $19.00 per hour. The actual pay will depend on experience, education, and other relevant factors. This position is also eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range.
