About the role
Our associates at Red, White, and Blue Thrift perform a range of tasks and processes essential to our retail operations. These positions require attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The roles are full-time, and medical benefits become available after 90 days of employment.
Responsibilities
- Facilities Associates: Unloading and loading trailers, operating a trash compactor, operating a baling machine, and janitorial duties.
- Production Associates: Pre-sorting donations, sorting, pricing, hanging, tagging, attaching sensors, and distributing merchandise to the floor.
- Sales Floor Associates: Cashier, Sales Floor, and Donation Center Attendant roles.
- Box Truck Drivers, Dispatchers, and Supervisors: Additional roles available.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous thrift, retail, warehouse, back of house, or customer facing experience preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely perform job functions.
- Physical strength: Lift and carry up to 40-70 lbs., frequently exert up to 25 lbs., and apply negligible force.
- Endurance: Stand for extended periods of time.
- Manual dexterity: Perform repetitive motions.
- Balance and agility: Maintain body equilibrium.
- Visual acuity: Clarity of vision.
- Noise level: Work effectively in a noisy environment.
- Lighting: Work effectively in bright environments.
- Interactions with others: Regular interactions with customers, donors, and coworkers.
- Flexibility: Switch tasks or departments based on operational needs.
Work Environment
- Dynamic and characterized by a consistently busy atmosphere.
- Work environment is characterized by bright lighting throughout the front and back of store.
- Work environment is noisy due to the bustling activity on the sales floor and the production area.
