Threat Management Specialist

Role Overview

This position involves leading threat management and Managed Detection & Response (MDR) services, setting strategies, overseeing security platform operations across multiple technologies, and ensuring service reliability and security outcomes. The role includes building mature security service models, advising stakeholders on security strategies, and leading high‑performing teams of analysts and engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the strategy and roadmap for threat management and MDR services, including detection engineering, threat hunting, and automation.
• Manage security platform operations across endpoint, network, cloud, data, email, SIEM, and SOAR technologies.
• Enhance cyber defense through improved detection, telemetry integration, and automated response processes.
• Develop and mature managed security services via operating models, governance, runbooks, and automation workflows.
• Provide trusted advisory to executive and client stakeholders on security operations and platform health.
• Lead, mentor, and develop teams of security professionals, fostering a collaborative and ethical work environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum eight years of cybersecurity experience, with leadership in security operations, threat management, or managed services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related fields; professional certifications like CISSP, CISM, or GIAC preferred.
• Deep expertise in NDR, detection engineering, IDS/IPS, SIEM/SOAR, and threat defense strategies.
• Experience managing 24×7 security operations, incident response, SLA/KPI performance, and escalation governance.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, advising senior leaders and aligning engineering and delivery teams.
• Proficiency in MDR operations, threat detection, and cyber service delivery.
