Role Overview
This position involves leading threat management and managed detection and response (MDR) services within a security operations environment.
Responsibilities
- Define strategy and develop roadmaps for threat management, including detection engineering, threat hunting, intelligence, incident response, automation, and service modernization.
- Oversee security platform operations across endpoint, network, cloud, data, email, SIEM, and SOAR technologies, ensuring reliability, governance, and 24/7 readiness.
- Enhance cyber defense through integrated telemetry, detection capabilities, triage, and automation workflows.
- Establish and mature managed security services by creating operating models, onboarding frameworks, governance processes, and automation procedures.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on security operations, platform health, and cyber defense outcomes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams of analysts, engineers, threat hunters, and service professionals.
Qualifications & Skills
- At least eight years of cybersecurity experience, with leadership in security operations, MDR, threat management, or cyber defense, capable of scaling enterprise security capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field; certifications like CISSP, CISM, or GIAC preferred.
- Deep expertise in NDR, detection engineering, telemetry analysis, IDS/IPS, SIEM/SOAR, and threat-informed defense strategies.
- Experience managing 24/7 security operations, incident response, service reliability, and SLA/KPI performance.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, advising senior leaders and aligning technical teams with business needs.
- Proficiency in MDR, threat operations, EDR/XDR, SIEM, SOAR, and cyber service delivery.
