Threader Operator (B)
Job Description
The position will be responsible to find work orders and ensure to use correct material and set-up to produce a quality part. The successful incumbent will be detail oriented, able to follow instructions well, and work well in a team atmosphere.
Activities / Tasks
- Pull correct part off cart by using work order identification
- Identify correct chasers
- Read drawings for proper fabrication of parts
- Cut threads to correct length and depth
- ID parts and place on skid to be delivered to proper location
- Use hand tools and read a tape measure
Education / Experience / Certifications
- A high school diploma or GED preferred but not required
- Previous experience in operating a threader is preferred but not required
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read from paper instructions
- Ability to adapt to change and flex his/her work at appropriate times so as to support production needs
- Ability to safely and effectively choose and operate hand tools (manual, pneumatic and electrical)
- Ability to read a tape measure in metric and imperial standards
- Ability to plan work and select correct chasers
- Ability to compare and accurately determine difference in size, shape, and form of objects
- Ability to work within precise limits and/or standards of accuracy
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to follow and understand directions

- Lifting up to 50 pounds; 50+ pounds with assistance
- Sitting, standing, walking, bending, grasping, pushing, pulling, crawling, climbing, twisting, reaching, working at heights, and using a ladder as required
- Ability of use both hands overhead
- Perform repetitive motions
Shift
Shift: 2nd Shift: 4:30pm - 1:00am with daily and weekend OT as needed.
Pay
Pay Rate: $27.00 Plus Shift Differential: $2.00 per hour
