This field-based marketing role drives strategic engagement and brand partnerships with Oncology Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Key Account Leaders—including physicians, nurse leaders, and pharmacy leaders—on regional and national levels within a defined geography. The Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) supports the entire Oncology portfolio, including Onivyde®, pipeline, and future commercialized brands. Responsibilities include gathering market insights, assessing clinical data impact, uncovering marketing collaboration opportunities, and fostering KOL relationships to advance advocacy for Ipsen Oncology. The TLL serves as a liaison between home office departments, field colleagues, and healthcare professionals (HCPs) to align on broader business objectives and communicate the brand story effectively.

Territory covers the Southeast and South Atlantic Sales Regions: TN, NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, MS, and LA.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver impactful engagement activities and projects within the assigned region, including HCP meetings, strategic planning with field partners, and execution of key priorities.
  • Develop and execute engagement plans to collaborate with KOLs, ensuring Onivyde® messaging aligns with Ipsen brand goals.
  • Partner closely with Regional Business Directors to align on regional priorities and support execution in collaboration with home office, sales, Value & Access (V&A), and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive KOL advocacy for Onivyde®.
  • Gather insights on the evolution of the disease landscape and the impact of emerging datasets to inform and advance brand strategies.
  • Lead strategic planning for congresses and professional society meetings, supporting customer meetings at major conferences for senior leadership.
  • Design, recruit for, and execute advisory boards.
  • Function as a field member of the marketing team, collaborating with sales, V&A, legal, regulatory, medical affairs, senior management, and other teams to advance TLL responsibilities and present a unified Ipsen experience.
  • Translate scientific, clinical, and market research into actionable commercial education programs.
  • Create awareness of evolving Ipsen projects, including disease state initiatives, promotional data, and new indications with KOLs.
  • Engage in and contribute to TLL team priorities, activities, and culture.
  • Cultivate, identify, assess, and share key educational and marketing messages with HCPs and Ipsen stakeholders.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree.
  • 2+ years of previous TLL (or industry field) experience with a proven track record of impact.
  • 2+ years of experience within Oncology sales, marketing, or clinical roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; ability to present effectively to colleagues at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to assemble and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines under tight timelines.
  • Ability to execute strategic and tactical plans while working with colleagues with and without direct authority.
  • Strong ability to communicate with external stakeholders and represent the company and brand teams in therapeutic discussions.
  • Superior organizational skills, including time and project management.
  • Approximately 70% travel required; must reside near a major U.S. airport.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $162,000 – $235,000. This role is eligible for Ipsen’s short-term incentives program.
